Flash Professional 8 is a great animation program, that has many features to it's name. Some of the parts of this program are the filters, blend modes, bitmap catching and custom easing control.

Article Body:
The filters help in creating more compelling designs with the help of built-in filter effects like drop shadow, blur, gradient level, glow, level and color adjust. Filters are actually visual effects that are applied in MovieClips and in text fields, being at the same time natively supported and rendered in real time by Flash Player. The FlashType is a revolutionary new font rendering engine that provides clear, highest-quality font rendering. It helps in making small fonts look very clear, and at the same time, greatly improves the readability of the font. There are various options available here for choosing the font rendering, with each options being optimized for different case uses. The best way of optimizing font rendering here is by using the new custom anti-aliasing feature, found in Flash Professional 8. Then there are the blend modes. This is something that Flash Professional 8 offers over what other design tools offer. Here one has control over blend modes, thus allowing graphical effects to composite for full dynamic user inactivity. The control over the velocity of animated objects is easy and custom easing in the Flash Professional 8. It provides for independent control over position, scale, color, filters and rotation. There is also an improved text tool here that allows one to resize a text field using four new and improved text handles.

In Flash Professional 8, there is also the re-rendering of vector objects, simply by flagging an object as a bitmap. Thus the object gets cached as a bitmap, where the vector data is maintained in such a way that at any point, the object can be converted back into a vector again. With enhanced stroke properties, Flash Professional 8 also provides one with a choice from a variety of cap and join types. One just has to apply a gradient to a stroke and give better stroke intersections with stroke hinting to the animation. Lastly, one has an advanced gradient control in Flash Professional 8 that gives tighter control over gradients.

Why So Many People Fail to Earn In Affiliate Marketing

Why So Many People Fail to Earn In Affiliate Marketing

Summary:
More and More people are lured into affiliate marketing and you might be one of them. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet.

Article Body:
More and More people are lured into affiliate marketing and you might be one of them. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet. It's a fair deal between the merchandiser and his affiliates as both benefit from each sale materialized. Like in other kinds of business, a great deal of the profits in affiliate marketing depends on the affiliate's advertising, promoting and selling strategies. Everyday, as affiliate marketing industry expands, competition heightens as well so an affiliate marketer must be creative enough to employ unique and effective ways to convince potential buyers to purchase or avail of the products and services offered.

Compared to traditional advertising practices, affiliate programs are more effective, risk-free and cost-efficient. But why do many people still fail in affiliate marketing? There are a lot of reasons and a lot of areas in the program to look into. The most critical aspect in the affiliate program is advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail in this aspect because they lack hard work, which is the most important thing in affiliate marketing and in all other kinds of business as well. Although it pays to be lucky, you cannot merely rely on it. Affiliate marketing isn't as simple as directing customers to the business site. If you want to earn big, of course, you have to invest time and great amount of hard work in promoting the products. As earlier mentioned, the competition is very high and customers nowadays are very wise, too. After all, who doesn't want to get the best purchase—that is, to pay less and get more in terms of quantity and quality.

Lack of preparation is also a reason why one fails in affiliate marketing, whether he is a merchandiser or an affiliate. Part of the preparation is researching. On the part of the merchant, he has to be highly selective in choosing the right affiliate websites for his affiliate program. In order to be sure he has the best choices, he must have exhausted his means in looking for highly interested affiliates whose sites are sure fit to his products and services. The affiliate site's visitors must match his targeted customers. On the other hand, the affiliate marketer must likewise research on the good-paying merchandisers before he signs up for an affiliate program. He must ensure that the merchants' products and services match his interests so he can give his full attention and dedication to the program. He can get valuable information by joining affiliate forums, comparing different affiliate programs and reading articles on affiliate marketing where he can get tips from experienced affiliate marketers on how to choose the best merchants and products with high conversion rate.

The website is a very important tool in the whole affiliate program. As an affiliate marketer, you should plan how your site is going to be, from domain name to the design, the lay-out, the content, and ads. Some users are particular about what they see at first glance and thus when they find your site ugly, they won't read through the content even if your site has many things to say and offer. On the other hand, there those who want information more than anything else. Affiliate marketers with "rich-content" web sites are usually the ones who prosper in this business because the content improves traffic to the site. Websites with high quality contents—with relevant keywords and more importantly, right information about the product and not empty hyped-up advertisements—allow you to earn big in affiliate marketing even when you're asleep. If you won't be able to sustain the interest of your site visitor, you won't be able to lead him to the merchants' site. No click-through means no sale and thus, no income on your part.

Selecting a top level domain name is also crucial to the success of the affiliate program. Lots of affiliate sites don't appear in the search engine results because they are deemed by affiliate managers as personal sites. Major search engines and directories would think of your site as transient ones and thus, they won't list it in the directory. Before you decide on the domain name, know first what you are going to promote. Many fail because their sites are not appropriately named, so even when they feature the exact products the customer is looking for, the customer might think the site is not relevant and thus, won't enter the site.

Above all, an affiliate marketer must be willing to learn more. Certainly, there are still a lot of things to learn and so an affiliate marketer must continue to educate himself so he can improve his marketing strategies. Many fail because they don't grow in the business and they are merely concerned about earning big quickly. If you want long-term and highly satisfactory results, take time to learn the ins and outs of the business. Continue to improve your knowledge especially with the basics in affiliate marketing ranging from advertising to programming, web page development, and search engine optimization techniques. Likewise, study the needs and wants of your site users and how different merchandisers compete with each other.

Keep on trying; don't get disappointed if your first attempts did not pay off. Thousands are attracted by the possibility of generating skyrocketing incomes through affiliate marketing and so they sign up in any affiliate program without carefully understanding every aspect of the business. When they don't get instant results, they quit and sign up for another program and repeat the process of just copying links and referring them to others. When you sign up for an affiliate program, don't expect to get rich in an instant. Work on your advertising strategies and be patient. You'll never know how much you can get if you don't persevere.

Article Body:
Many business people dream of trading the world wide marketplace because it has the potential to provide them with increased profits through reaching a larger number of customers.

There are many issues you need to consider before going world wide because the business rules differ from country to country. And if you do manage to get past the trade barriers such as the tariffs and quotas that is set up by the government to protect their domestic markets, you still have to deal with the customers themselves before your products will be bought. Also in addition to this, here are some of the most important factors you need to consider if you want to have a global reach for your business.

The Culture.

Every country has its own well established culture that makes it unique from other countries. You need to know the local culture even before you can promote your product effectively in the business environment.

The Laws.

Countries do have different laws that govern business practices, so what may be considered legal to one country may not necessarily mean that this same practice is legal in another. It is therefore important for you to consult with local lawyers and accountants regarding the laws in their particular country.

The Promotions.

Aside from the fact that you need to be sensitive to the taste and preference of the local market and be careful on the promotions that you do as not to offend them, you also need to be flexible to follow government regulations. For example, there are countries that do not put a limit on the amount of money that can be won by a local resident when a particular company holds a contest. However, in some counties the amount of earnings can be restricted so you need to know about these rules and requirements even before you start your promotional strategies.

The Locality.

You should note that there are countries that have different government rules according to region. You need to be cautious in making different promotions and activities in different regions in a new territory because a practice that may be permitted in one area doesn't necessarily mean that it will likewise be acceptable in another area even though it is in the same country.

The Budget.

Trying to penetrating another country may cost more than you are expecting because of the different legalities you have to deal with. At the start of your operations, you should also expect to encounter a lot of challenges because you are just starting to make your presence felt in a new territory.

Overall though, going world wide is certainly a worthwhile experience for any business despite the challenges it presents because it offers you a chance to make your business become more popular and more profitable.

With the euro down nearly 15% this year and at a two-year low against the U.S. dollar, the world's largest exporting nation is worth a good look. So is another country that has thriving exports in spite of a stronger currency. We're talking about Japan and Germany, respectively, the world's second- and third-largest economies.

The top lines at leading German industrial companies are rolling in with impressive numbers for an almost zero-growth economy. Quarterly sales at Siemens rose 13%, the fastest since 2003. BMW's sales rose by 11% in the third quarter, although high raw-material costs and pricing pressure resulted in weak net profits. A bright spot is Asia, where BMW expects to sell 150,000 cars per year by 2008.

Overall, German exports are up for the third-straight month and sales to countries outside of the European Union rose 18% annually from a year earlier. Clearly, the Germans are good at making stuff and selling it to the world, and the weaker euro is helping spur growth. Germany's DAX stock index is taking notice and is up nearly 20% year-to-date.

Meanwhile, U.S. exports are up a paltry 2% since 2000. Although exports to China are up 35% during this same period, Americans are now buying seven times more from China than we are selling to them. A good reason why is that, according to research by Morgan Stanley's Stephen Roach, consumer spending represents 71% of America's gross domestic product. The figure is 42% for China and 55% for Japan.

Speaking of Japan, the aftermath of the financial bubble has obscured the fact that it too, remains an exporting powerhouse, despite a currency that has risen more than 20% since 2002 and 13% this year alone. Just look at Japan's current account surpluses over the past three years: $113 billion in 2002, $136 billion in 2003 and $172 billion in 2004. China is a major market, and despite political difficulties, bilateral trade between China and Japan now exceeds trade between Japan and America.

A majority of Japan's exports are manufactured goods and components. Fifty percent of its exports to China in 2004 were electrical equipment and machinery, and its top exports to the world include autos, electronic components, optical instruments, imaging equipment and computer parts.

Much is made over China's huge trade imbalance with America, which reached $126 billion in the first eight months of this year. No doubt a sizable share of Chinese exports to America are chock full of Japanese components. While some of these components were made in offshore facilities, many were made in Japan, which has been able to hold on to its industrial base better than America.

How do they do it? First, the Japanese are continually moving up the value-added curve and are careful to keep the R&D and manufacturing of sophisticated components close to home, while outsourcing the low-end to low-wage countries.

Secondly, even though China's wages are about 5% of Japan's, factory automation has lessened the importance of labor costs. For advanced high tech products, it accounts for only 10% to 15% of total costs. Having manufacturing closer to home also shortens new product lead times and increases cooperation between R&D and production teams leading to a crucial edge in staying ahead of its nimble competitors. Supply lines of 2,000 miles can be problematic.

Perhaps most important, there is the critical issue of protecting intellectual capital. Having research, development and production closer to headquarters better protects proprietary technologies.

Canon, Sharp, Hitachi, NEC and Toyota are all good plays on Japan's manufacturing edge, while Sony will continue to lag until it boosts its R&D and catches up in product development.

The iShares MSCI Japan Index exchange-trade fund is an attractive option, since it has about 50% exposure to Japan's manufacturing sector with an annual expense ratio of only 0.59%. Similarly in Germany, the iShares MSCI Germany Index is loaded with that country's top exporters and would be an excellent proxy for overall German export growth.

Maximize The Results Of Your Online Web Meetings

Maximize The Results Of Your Online Web Meetings

Word Count:

Summary:
Online web meetings are an invaluable tool for building a competitive business and saving time and money. However, it's said that the weakest link in an online web meeting is a poorly training or unprepared presenter or host.

Keywords:
online,web,meeting

Article Body:
Before holding an online web meeting, you must be aware of the following:

1. Your online web meeting should be short and on track. The duration of the event should be no longer then one hour or maximum of one hour and thirty minutes.

2. What type of questions will you ask those attending the web meeting? Asking questions keeps everyone's attention and allows you to effectively teach your guests.

3. As a courtesy to others in attendance, ask guests to hold their questions until the end of the meeting. Chances are that you will answer most questions during your presentation. Asking guests to hold their questions will reduce the overall meeting time for everyone.

4. Advise guests to preinstall the web meeting plugin before the live meeting. If guests will be speaking during a meeting, advise them to use the integrated audio setup and testing feature before the live meeting. Guests can perform this audio setup and test without logging in.

5. Prepare an optimized version of your PowerPoint® that is less than 2 MB. This will allow guests to see the presentation quickly and easily.

6. Always have a recording of your presentation available before a live meeting. Recorded presentations can be enjoyed by those unable to attend the live meeting. In the event a guest has a problem with their computer or internet connection, they can still enjoy the presentation. You may have invested thousands of dollars to promote your web meetings, and you lose time and money when someone can not attend the live meeting or has some problem that is beyond your control.

7. Practice your entire live presentation using the web meeting room program a minimum of 5 to 7 times from start to finish. This is the most important thing you need to know before holding an online web meeting.

8. Make sure the online web meeting service you are using offers free live training.

9. When it comes to web meetings, choosing the right service that meets your needs can be a daunting task. Make sure the program you choose meets the following important criteria:
• Login is fast and easy.
• Those with a dial-up connection can participate without problems.
• Web meeting program works with corporate firewalls.
• No Active-X control is required to run the program.
• You can easily create and manage live meeting polls and surveys.
• You can create and host your own custom registration pages.
• No scheduling is required, you can hold meetings anytime you decide.
• You can use any payment gateway to sell access to your meetings.
• The PowerPoint® presenter displays slides in dual format.
• Live video conferencing offers synchronized audio and video.
• Your guests can enjoy hands free meetings, you control everything they see.
• You can record and control your recorded presentations.

Article Body:
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation is well known for their HDTV rear projection sets. Chances are that you have seen those models that utterly dominate large living rooms, and look similar to big square-like boxes that, if hollowed out, could accommodate a family of rottweilers. Those large monsters, in which the picture quality never looked very good from an angle, will soon be relegated to museums, because rear projectors are getting thinner at a fast clip. Now, Mitsubishi is pioneering a new way to approach the rear projection HDTV—they are using Lasers! With this new idea from Mitsubishi, a RPTV (Rear Projection Television) is transformed because a Laser replaces the usual mercury lamp in the rear of the set. The model is still considered a DLP (Digital Light Projection) but the light comes from red, green and blue Lasers! LASER, which stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation is a technology discovered in the late fifties and is already used in CD players and printers. Albert Einstein knew about the amazing things that photons could do when stimulated in the right ways. The pure, coherent light provided by the Laser is expected to nearly double the colors available with today's best LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) High Definition television sets! The picture quality will be enhanced over any existing rear projector. In addition, this new idea will not a require a color wheel because the Laser can be turned off and on quickly enough to provide for changes in color for the display.

Mitsubishi expects these new Laser sets to be just over 25 centimeters deep (around 10 inches). Therefore, they will be able to compete in slimness of design with some plasma and LCD models. It may be around two years before this technology is available to the consumer, but it will make quite a splash when it hits the market. The President of Mitsubishi said recently, "We want to release the product on the market in two years by creating a mass-production line capable of being run on a commercial basis." The staggering fact is that Laser technology is fully capable of producing a better picture than either Plasma or LCD. Of course, improvements in those technologies should not be underestimated, but the race is on. Just like during the Internet bubble, there are a number of competing technologies, and it is too early to discern whether DLP will beat LCD, or Laser will reign over Plasma. Stay tuned to see the outcomes, for there is no known oracle that will spoil the ending for us and it is getting more interesting all the time. While some consumer goods such as CD players and laser printers have made use of the laser, this would be the first commercial production of Laser light powering a HDTV display.

The navigation scheme you set up for your web site acts as its road map so it needs to be clear, structured and intuitive. No matter how good a site looks or how much useful information it has, if it does not have sensible navigation it will confuse visitors or drive them away. If a person has to look hard to find where they need to go, then they quickly lose focus and that is fatal to your chances of keeping them on site.

Navigation (and page titling and headlines) needs to tell visitors immediately:

* Where I am
* What is here
* Where I can go next

There are many ways of presenting navigation: down one side of the screen, along the top and bottom or in a frame. However, think of the search engines, as well as visitors as most search engines don't like frames or java script - which they can not be understand. As search engines need to read the links to index the site properly and you want good organic listings, java script is not a good idea and anyway some visitors will have it disabled.

So here are some more 'top tips':

1: It is important to allow instant access to the rest of your site from anywhere within it. Ideally, you should be able to go to any page in a maximum of two clicks and one is better. Motto: the less clicks the better.

2: Use the same navigation scheme and elements on all pages. Create a common navigational look to ensure that your users can use your site navigation effectively.

3: Wherever possible, use text navigation. Think about the tradeoff between text and graphics. Text based navigation works better than image based navigation because it enables users to understand the link destinations in detail. Too many sites have beautiful and fancy images for navigation that mean nothing to visitors. (Ever been abroad and been confused by their roadside or 'restroom' images?) Research also shows that 'breadcrumb trails' positioned under the page title (at eye level and closer to other links on the page) are used more than breadcrumb trails positioned at the top of the page.

4: Keep navigation elements (elements meaning different navigation 'lists') in close proximity and help users to develop a mental model of your web site.

5: Use the right margin for your web site's main index. Research shows that users are lazy and click on topics in the right margin more than topics placed on the left because they are located much closer to the scroll bar and they don't have to move their mouse so far! This allows users to quickly move the pointer between the scroll bar and the index items. These benefits are particularly strong for laptops with those horrid fingertip based mouse controls.

6: Separate important items from housekeeping links. Housekeeping links are the things people may need to find from any page but that don't need to be prominent. For example Privacy Policy, Site Map, FAQs and Contact Us can appear in the header or footer of the page

7: Make links easy to find. Don't expect visitors to mouse over every word on the page to discover if it is a link or not. Links don't have to be underlined, but do make them a different colour so that they stand out from surrounding body text and add a hover colour to links so that users can see what they are about to click. Use new windows (pop ups) sparingly.

Article Body:
If you own one or more websites, it is vitally important to know how many people are visiting your site and where these visitors originate from. Analyzing website statistics should become a regular habit for every webmaster who wishes to improve website traffic over time. You'll be able to test and track the popularity of your updated site content and even see how visitors find your site in the search engines.

There are many web statistics programs on the market, each one unique in price and features,  but did you know that some of the best website statistic programs already come free with most web hosting plans?

If you have a hosting account for your website that includes cpanel, then you probably have a whole bunch of web statistic programs built in.  Cpanel is by far the most popular control panel for web hosting accounts today.  It is extremely easy to learn and use for regular website administration.

There are usually 3 different types of statistics you will find inside cpanel. These are known as Analog, Webalizer and Awstats.

Webalizer is a statistic program that shows you in a graph form how many visitors have visited your site month by month.  This type of statistics is very basic and only takes a quick glance to receive your web site information.  If you want more detailed information you will probably need to check out the other two statistic programs.

Analog and Awstats each offer different presentation styles. All the essential visitor information you probably wish to see is listed on Analog, but most people have difficulty finding it as it is primarily text based and requires close attention.

Awstats on the other hand, is usually the favorite web site statistic program on cpanel.  Not only does it give you plenty of visitor information, from number of hits per day and month, it also tells you where they originate from, how long visitors stayed at your site, the country from which they are viewing your site, what browser they are using and much more. Basic colored graphs and simple to read layout make it a quick and easy task to find the information that you are looking for.

So if you have a website and would like to know more about your visitors check out your cpanel statistic programs inside your website hosting account.  They can be extremely helpful in analyzing your site and drawing more traffic to it.
